时间是小说艺术的一个要素 ,它是作家把握生活、进行艺术体验非常重要的方式 ;现代小说很大程度就是建立在一种新的时间观念之上。 80年代以来 ,受西方现代派文学的影响 ,中国作家开始了在时间艺术上多方面的探讨 ,打破了以往单一的线性时间 ,建立了多元的时间结构。新时期中国作家在时间艺术上的探索主要包括三种模式 ,即心理时间、迷宫时间和宿命时间 ,这对开拓中国文学的表现空间 ,提高它的艺术品位起了至关重要的作用。当下中国作家应该注意的问题是 ,立足本土文化 ,找到现代中国人自己的时间意识和体验 ,创造更为丰富而独特的时间形式。

Time is an important factor in the art of fiction,that helps the writer grasp the life and organize his artistic experience.Modrn fiction is built to a great degree on a new concept of time.Under the influence of Western modernist schools of literature Chinese writers have been making explorations of the art of expressing time from many perspetives since the 1980s.They broke down the traditional confinement to a single linear time and have built up a plural structure of time.The Chinese writers have unfolded their enquiries into the art of time in the new period mainly around the three models:psychological time,labyrinth time and fatalistic time.
