The internal interarches stent for reconstruction of large mandibular defect

下颌骨大型缺损经植骨术以恢复颌骨的连续或再建颌骨后,还需进行矫形治疗,才能恢复咀嚼功能。因此,在植骨术中除必须注意面部外形的恢复外,还需考虑恢复功能的良好条件,才能使矫形治疗获得满意效果。即对有牙颌需恢复正常(牙合)关系,对无牙颌需注意有良好的颌间关系。以往对这个问题常注意不够。

The proper form of the internal stent for the reconstruction of the large mandibular defect was neglected for a long time.This influenced the outcome of the operation.We designed a kind of stent according to the measurement of the mandible and the requirements for restoration of the function of it.The chief point is that the position of the stent should be at the middle part betw- een the mandibular inferior border arch and the alvelar arch.We called it an“internal interarch- es stent”.We used it clinieally with very good outcome.
