Consumption Alienation: the Root of the Ecological Crisis

消费原本是人为了满足自身生存而产生的自然需求,然而在资本主义社会,资本家通过不断制造虚假消费刺激人们的需要,由此产生了严重消费异化,从而加速了生态环境的恶化。在生态马克思主义看来,生态危机产生的直接根源是消费异化,批判消费异化,提倡理性消费,构建合理的消费模式,这种理念在新时代我国的社会主义建设中,不但能促进人与自然的和谐,而且为实现生态文明转型、迈向中国特色社会主义生态文明,提供了有价值的理论基础。

Consumption was originally to meet the needs of their own survival, however, in the capitalist society,capitalists created false consumer to stimulate people’s needs, resulting in consumption alienation, which accelerate the ecological crisis. Based on the analysis of the consumption alienation of ecological Marxism, this paper is considered that consumption alienation is the direct source of the ecological crisis. We should discard the alienation of consumption, advocate rational consumption. Ecological Marxism consumption alienation theory could not only promote the harmony between human and nature, but also provide the value theory basis for the transformation of ecological civilization with Chinese characteristics.
