The basic design ideas and application status of horizontal well technology in coalbed methane mining in China and abroad are elaborated, and the development history of the two is compared. This paper briefly introduces the project objectives and implementation plan of the coal resource fluidized mining project, and summarizes the key technical points and future prospects of using L-type horizontal wells to carry out coal resource fluidized mining. The theoretical analysis of the typical mechanical problems involved in the project is carried out, which provides a reference criterion for the selection of engineering materials.
