摘要
辽南京大昊天寺,是由契丹后族萧瑰家族出身的高僧志智发愿、萧瑰家族和辽道宗出资,历经数十年营建的寺院,是辽代中晚期最大的国家营建寺院之一,能够代表佛教信仰鼎盛的辽道宗时期的最高规格。本文由大昊天寺相关的文献记载入手,回溯其营建背景和营建历程,厘清其寺院位置、规模和布局,从而了解辽代高等级佛教寺院的规制及其与皇室、贵戚家族间的密切联系,深化对辽代佛教寺院建筑的认识。
Dahaotian Temple, located in the southern capital of the Liao dynasty, is representative for highest-rank architecture of Emperor Daozong’s reign. The eminent Buddhist monk Zhi Zhia descendent of the Xiaogui’s family, the maternal line of the royal Khitan tribe—was in charge of construction. This aristocratic family and also Emperor Daozong acted as patrons of the temple project.After decades of construction, Dahaotian Temple was one of the largest national temples in the mid-to late-Liao dynasty. Through textual analysis of historical literature, the paper investigates background and construction process of Dahaotian Temple, as well as its location, architectural scale, and layout,with the aim of increasing our knowledge about building standards of high-rank Liao architecture and the relationship between temple and patron.
