The Fence

智利当代建筑起始于一个大事件,那就是在纪念西班牙王国征服美洲大陆四百年后的1992年,塞维利亚世界博览会上智利馆的落成开幕。因此,当时智利建筑的这个转折点开启了一大批在国际上具有深远影响和重要性的建筑实践,这不仅是因为其中饱含建筑师的强烈意图和试验精神,而且还有一个原因,即建筑师不再消费那些超级建筑宣言,也不再寻找永恒的身份认同,正是这些特征让智利当代建筑显得与众不同。

Contemporary Chilean architecture is recognized on an inaugural event:the Chilean pavilion at the International Fair of Seville,Spain,in 1992.Thus,this turning point of the architecture in Chile began to deploy a set of experiences that managed a surprising significance and relevance at the international level,not only for its proactive and experimental quality,but also because,unlike the period above,was not consumed in extra-architectural manifestos,or seek the eternal identity:These are some of the features that distinguishes the current architecture.
