Any attempt at understanding Brazilian contemporary architecture faces the uphill battle of tackling the country's size and its striking diversity.If one strives for regional balance it is hard to ignore the critical density of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.If one takes the comfortable position of writing only to and from those centers there are way too many blind spots.In this article I therefore chose to write about the interactions that happened between important moments and how they resonate on the contemporary scene.
