The paper introduces the definition,design standards,and basic components of the expressway,and analyzes the connection between the expressways and regular roads from the entrance ramps,side roads,connection sections and the connection at the entrance of the joint and the ground intersections,so as to improve the operation efficiency of the whole urban road system.
