This paper summaries several case studies in terms of architecture in different historical periods. According to the analysis of some antithetic concepts including tradition and rebellion,divinity and secularity,reason and romance,it is proved that even the architects with opposite philosophies have the same aesthetic preference for metal tectonic.Therefore,the authors of the paper believe the metal tectonic,which is the best solution for the aesthetic expression in the architecture field,will continue to develop rapidly in future.
