Analysis of George Hargreave's Experience Landscape Design Idea

文章通过文献查询法、资料分析法、作品分类法,对美国风景园林大师乔治·哈格里夫斯的设计作品及其设计观进行分析,目的是介绍其体验式景观设计观形成过程和背景,以及在三个不同时期体验外部环境所获取的对景观设计观形成的灵感。三个阶段的设计思想如自然界脆弱又顽强的生命力、艺术形态圆浑的螺旋式张力、自然灾害的破坏与修复力之体验,通过隐喻等手法,应用于其设计的作品里,表达主题。形成的设计观带给人们对大地艺术的体验,对自然环境的珍惜,对地球生态环境保护的哲学思考,具有积极的意义。

Through literature inquiry, data analysis, and work classification, this paper analyzes the design works of American landscape master George Hargreave’s and his design concept. The purpose is to introduce the formation process and background of his experiential landscape design concept. As well as three different experiences of the external environment to experience the formation of landscape design ideas. The three stages of design ideas such as the fragile and tenacious vitality of the natural world, the spiral tension of the artistic form, the experience of the destruction and restoration of natural disasters, and the use of metaphor and other techniques, are applied to their design works to express themes. The formed design concept brings people’s experience of the earth art, cherishing the natural environment, and philosophical thinking on the Environmental Protection of the earth’s ecology has positive significance.
