When the Library Meets a Large Space——Pudong Library's Large Space Public Building Research

"我心里一直都在暗暗设想,天堂应该是图书馆的模样。"这是阿根廷文学家博尔赫斯曾说过的一句话。当下,城市人口快速增长、信息爆炸,人们对知识的需求与日俱增。为了适应这些增长,图书馆的规模日趋变大。文章对浦东图书馆大空间的几个关键问题展开研究,具体地探讨大空间图书馆的设计逻辑,并对建筑优化提出建议,为今后的相关研究提供方法和逻辑上的参考。

'I have always imagined that paradise will be a kind of library.' This is a sentence that Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges once said. At present, since the rapid growth of urban population and information explosion, people’s demand for knowledge is increasing day by day. In order to adapt to these growths, the size of the library has become larger. This paper studies several key issues of the Pudong Library’s large space, specifically discusses the design logic of the large space library, and provides suggestions for building optimization, offering a methodological and logical reference for future related research.
