In order to find ship target detection algorithm for high resolution SAR imagery, KSW double threshold segmentation method is applied to high resolution SAR imagery to detect ship. The experimental results show that this method is better than the traditional method. The selection of ship detection algorithm must be based on the resolution of SAR imagery.
