On Autonomous and Creative Education

自主创新教育是以培养学生自主意识、创新精神和实践能力为基本价值取向的教育 ,是具有民族特色和地区特点的素质教育新模式 ,是陶行知教育思想的继承和发展。其实践框架由以“管理自治、修养自觉、学习自信、生活自强”为内容的“成人”模式和以“自主选择、自主合作、自主探索、自主实践”为特点的“自主创新”的“成材”模式组成 ,是当今主题教育和创新教育的理论在民族教育中有机结合的体现。

Autonomous and creative education is a value oriented education aiming at training students' autonomous awareness, creative spirit and practical competence. It is a new model of quality oriented education with ethnic and regional characteristics. It is composed of a “grown up model' with the contents of “autonomous management, conscientious self cultivation, confident study and independent life' and a “growing model' with the characteristics of “autonomous selection, autonomous co operation, autonomous exploration and autonomous practice'. It reflects an organic combination of the theories of contemporary theme education and creative education with ethnic education. It especially suits the present situation as well as the needs of talent training in ethnic minority border areas. [
