This paper discusses comprehensively the process of designing and developing Huitong ecological location information system, introducing the system structure and function,and illustrates the application of geographic information system (GIS) to this ecological location research . It is a better solution to combine MIS and GIS and apply them both to the ecological location system for realizing its standardized, automatic and network management.
