One of the focus today-solid modeling technology is stated in this paper.Starting with severa software soled,the two dif- ferent methods for solid modeling and their advantages,shor- tages,practicability as well as parametric method have been dis- cussed in more detail.Comments on some practical software are made and the opinion about development of solid modeling tech- nology is mentioned.
