On the Relation between Schema Theory and Listening-Teaching in English

摘要 概述了图式理论的基本观点。具体论述了图式理论在英语听力教学中的重要作用:即图式对学生推理能力、理解能力和记忆能力的作用。指出英语教师应转变传统的教学观念,在不断研究与探索中把图式理论与英语听力教学更完美地结合在一起。 ?Through clarifying and analyzing the schema theory and reflecting on the problems existing in present English teaching, the paper puts forward some suggestions intending to improve the listeningteaching. Teachers should help students have the idea of schema. Staff in language labs should assist students with schema. Teachers should manage to stimulate schema in students' mind. And it specifies the significance of schema in English listeningteaching: Schema will contribute to students' reasoning, understanding and memorizing abilities. I think English teachers should get rid of the old traditional teaching methods and apply schema theory into the listeningteaching in English perfectly through their continuous research and exploration.
