Happiness from the Viewpoint of Ethics

幸福概念深刻而复杂,可以在三个层次上把握。首先,幸福是人生重大的快乐;进一步说,是人生重大需要和欲望得到满足的心理体验,是人生重大目的得到实现的心理体验;最终是达到生存和发展的某种完满的心理体验。与此相对,不幸首先是人生重大的痛苦;进一步说,是人生重大需要和欲望得不到满足的心理体验,是人生重大目的得不到实现的心理体验;最终是生存和发展受到严重损害的心理体验。

The profound and complex idea of happiness can be understood in three dimensions. First, happiness is the happiest thing in human life. Second, happiness is the psychological experience that man has satisfied his great demands for life or has realized the important goals of life. Third, happiness, in the final analysis, is the psychological experience that man has achieved somewhat perfection in survival and development. On the contrary, unhappiness is the great suffering in life. Further, unhappiness is the psychological experience that man cannot satisfy the great demands for life or fails to realize the important goals of life. Finally, unhappiness is the psychological experience that man's survival and development are threatened.
