Veblen's Criticism on Orthodox Economics and Its Modern Effectiveness

Veblen criticized orthodox economics from the perspectives of philosophical foundation, fundamental beliefs and historical continuance, and considered it to be objectivistic, hedonist, and 'preDarwinist.' Despite the progress, orthodox economics still holds fast to its philosophical foundation and essential beliefs so that its defects remain obvious. Therefore, Veblen's criticism is still valid today.
