Population Problem and the Sustainable Development in African Regions to the South of Sahara

In the study of the relationship between Africa's population and economic development, the regions to the south of Sahara provide a typical case. These regions suffer from a series of problems like the serious unbalance between population growth and economic development, the lower quality of population caused by illiteracy, poor health, and particularly frequent death from widespread AIDS. These problems exert negative influences on economic development and bring serious challenge to the sustainable development of the regions.
