Random Thoughts on Calligraphy Teaching from Copying to Creation

书法教学中 ,从临摹到创作是一个颇难过渡的阶段和环节 ,临摹与创作是一对互相依赖 ,互有渗透的矛盾关系 ,在临摹过程中应体现创作意识 ,创作过程中应再现原碑风范。写实性临摹中要抛弃自我 ,写意性临摹中要寻回自我 ,张扬自我 ,通过集字法创作和再度创作 ,寻找创作灵感 ,走上创作道路。

It is a quite difficult period of transition from copying to creation in calligraphy teaching. Copying and creation are contradictorily related—they depend on and permeate each other. In the process of copying,the awareness of creation should he reflected and the style of the original should reappear. The self should be given up in realistic copying and it should be found back in freehand copying. Students will walk on the creative path through the character—collecting creation to recreation,seeking the creative inspiration.
