大学英语教学是对学生进行有效的听、说、读、写、译各语用能力的训练。在现有的教学条件下 ,阅读是大学英语教学的切入点 :它是帮助学生掌握语言知识、跨越文化障碍的有效途径 ,它还对听、说、写、译等语言技能的提高起到有力的促进作用。阅读是大学英语教学中的关键性环节 ,应大力加强。

College English learning includes the practice of listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating. The present author holds the view that reading at present plays the most important role in college English learning, it is an easier and more effective way for learners to master linguistic knowledge and smooth over cultural conflicts;It also helps learners to improve their language ability as a whole.
