海子是一个天才诗人 ,也是一个纯粹的诗人。海子始终不肯放弃他的诗歌理想 ,为此不惜放弃世俗的幸福 ,甚至放弃了自己的生命。海子抒情诗中的孤独、痛苦、死亡意象源于其生命情绪的“悲剧意识”。他生活和成长的那段历史 ,使每个追求思想出路的人 ,都陷于希望与失望、呐喊与彷徨、悲观与乐观之中 。

Hai Zi was a gifted poet, and a pure poet. His misfortune was that he would not give up his poetic ideal, not scrupling to give up his worldly happiness, not even caring about giving up his own life. The solitude, anguish and death in his lyrical poems originate from the 'tragic sense' in his sentiment of life. During the period of history in which he lived and grew up threw everybody who sought the way out in ideology into both hope and despair, made them shout and hesitate, feeling pessimistic and optimistic, with too much perplexity and unadaptability.
