There are three spatiotemporal layers in The Snow of the Kilimanjaro: the 'realistic' space and time in which the characters are going along; the psychological space and time formed by characters' feelings and retrospect and purely virtual space and time. The conversion of the subjects in the narration determines the distribution of the space and time of the structure of the perspectives of the subjects. The meaning of the virtual world inside the version rests on the 'authenticity' of the world outside the version.
