摘要
中国鲎是一种极具学术和医药价值的古生物。福建平潭曾经是我国享誉世界的中国鲎产区。由于长期缺乏保护 ,平潭中国鲎资源量持续急剧下降。根据平潭海岸经济发展特点 ,只有建立自然保护区 。
Horseshoe crab is well known by its research and biomedical values.Pingtan,Fujian Province,was once believed to have the largest population of Tachypleus tridentatus,one of the three Asian horseshoe crab species,along the coast of China.However,Pingtan horseshoe crab is undergone a continuous population decline for decades.With regard to the requirement of sustainable development,a horseshoe crab special reserve is highly demanded for Pingtan to protect the valuable resources from local extinction.
