把成人外语教学纳入素质教育的框架 ,并重新审视成人外语教育 ,符合时代发展的要求。成人外语教育的内容 ,就语言本身来讲 ,主要是培养成人学员听、说、读、写的基本语言素质 ;就语言的工具性来讲 ,主要是如何交际、如何求知、如何做人、如何生活、如何审美等 ,即培养外语交际能力、外语处世能力、外语求知能力、外语处事能力、外语创新能力和跨文化适应能力等外语综合素质。

It meets the basic needs of the times to examine adults' education language teaching from a new angle and bring it into the framework of quality education. Adults' foreign language education is, on one hand, developing the adult students' language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing, and, on the other hand, the synthetic quality in communication, innovation, handling affairs and trans-cultural adaptability.
