和谐美学的美学史研究有三个层次 ,一曰东西方美学史的分别研究 ;二曰对东西方美学史的异同比较 ,三曰提出人类审美演变的三大历史形态。美的三大历史形态理论是和谐美学在逻辑与历史统一中的自我深化。它极具理论张力 ,然亦有待进一步完善。

There remain three levels in research of the history of harmonious aesthetics, i.e. firstly a separate research on the Eastern and Western aesthetics; secondly a comparison between them; thirdly the three historical patterns of evolution in human aesthetic appreciation. The history of three historical patterns results from the self- deepening of harmonious aesthetics under the condition of historical unity of logic and history, which is of powerful tension in theoretical, but still needs further improving
