高校共青团作为党的助手和后备军 ,作为党联系青年的桥梁和纽带 ,只有在新时期认真学习和实践江泽民同志提出的“三个代表”的重要思想 ,严格按照“三个代表”的要求承担起教育和引导青年学生的任务 ,才能带领广大团员青年紧跟党走 ,始终走在时代发展的最前列 。

As the assistant and reserve of the Party, as the bridge for the Party to get linked with young people, the Communist Youth League in institutions of higher learning should, in the new period, make a conscientious study of and put into practice the important thinking of 'three representations' put forth by Comrade Jiang Zemin and take on the task to educate and guide the students in strict accordance with the requirements of the 'three representations' before it could lead the broad masses of young people to follow the Party and to march as pioneers of social development and could then make an effective attempt to realize the ultimate goal of the Party.
