秦长城西端起点临洮地望与洮州边墙考

Investigations on Lintao Surroundings as Starting Point of Great Wall of Qin Dynasty and Border Wall of Taozhou (Tao Prefecture)

对有关地方志及有关论著中对秦长城西端起点“临洮城”的地望问题提出质疑。通过实地考察 ,并结合地方志文献得出结论 :秦长城的西端起点是位于今甘肃省卓尼县阿子滩乡玉古村东南的石崖 ,距其以东 10公里的羊巴古城即“临洮城” ;洮州“明代边墙”

Doubts are aroused from the records in local documen ts and assays that Lintao city is the starting point of Great Wall of Qin Dynasty. By investigating on site and referring to local documents, the writer holds tha t the west starting point of Great Wall of Qin Dynasty is Shiya to the southeast of Yugu village, Azitan township, Zhuoni county, Gansu; and Lintao town is actu ally Yangbagu town 10 kilometers to the east. Most of border walls of Ming dynas ty in Tao prefecture were built on the site of Qin dynasty's Great wall.
