洋务派家训初探

Discussion on the family doctrine advocated by Westernization Factions

清代后期传统家训逐步走向衰落,但在整体衰落的过程中,也存在着局部的开新和发展,洋务派家训就是其中最为重要的部分。洋务派家训在家教指导思想上顺应历史潮流,形成了一种开明的教子意识;在比较、反思中西文明中主张扬弃西方道德文明,学习西方先进的科学技术;在治学、择业方面强调读书与世事历练的结合,倡导经世济用之学;在对子弟家人为学之道、处世哲学的传授和养生健体教育方面也为传统家训增加了新的符合时代精神的内容。此外,在教化途径、方式方法上,也有不少符合教育规律的创新。

The late Qing Dynasty saw the rise of the family doctrine of the Westernization Factions when the traditional family doctrine began to decline.Conforming to the trend of the times,the Westernization Factions advocated a critical adoption of the western morality,held a positive attitude in learning the western advanced science and technology,and emphasized the combination of book reading and practical ability.The family doctrine of the Westernization Factions also reflected the progress of educational ideology in the aspects of teaching,moral cultivation and methodology.
