The Application of Maps to Improve the Teaching of Geography

地图不仅是地理教学的重要组成部分,而且还是学习其它地理内容的重要辅导材料。正因为如此,地图利用的好环,直接影响到地理教学的效果。利用地图改进地理教学,要从深挖教学内容、优化教学过程、提高教学效率等几方面作出努力。要教会学生利用地图抓特征、分析地图找规律、数图对照找差异、多图叠置查成因,帮助学生提高思维能力,学以致用,全面提高其综合素质。充分利用地图,地理教学必能收到事半功倍的效果。

Maps are not only one of the important components in the teaching of geography, but also the essential supplementary materials in the study of other geographical contents. Therefore, the use of maps will directly influence the effects of the teaching of geography. When maps are applied in the reform of geography teaching, endeavor can be made to the deep understanding of teaching contents, optimizing teaching process and raise the teaching efficiency. Students should be encouraged to grasp geographical features in maps, find laws by analyzing the maps, find the differences by contrasting the numerical marks on the maps and approach the cause of the overlapping of maps and thus to help them raise their thinking ability and apply the knowledge they have learned to raise their integrated qualities on all sides. The application of maps in the teaching of geography can surely produce a better result.
