The formation and evolution of Xiaoxigong gold deposit was associated closely with regional geological development.It was produced in the low green schist facies metamorphic rocks of Donghuang Group,and controlled by brittle ductile shear zones.Two mica schists are considered to be the source bed and host rock of gold.The Au bearing fluid was originated from postmagmatic hydrothermal solution of Indo Chinese epoch which included some metamorphogenetic water.It leached Au from the rocks in the brittle ductile shear zone and mineralized at favourable place.
