Situ Meitang grew from an ordinary overseas Chinese to a famous leader of overseas Chinese and enjoyed high reputation in Americas, particularly in the US and Canada. He was called one of the 'the twin giants' (the other one being Chen Jiagen) of overseas Chinese because of his contributions to the Chinese revolution and his historical standing in the overseas Chinese communities.
