On Zhang Dongsun's Middle Road after the Victory of the War Against Japanese Aggression

张东荪是我国现代著名哲学家、社会活动家。抗战胜利前后,他详细分析和探讨了战后中国经济建设的道路、体制和发展战略等问题,提出了一整套走中间路线的以发展民族资本主义为目标的建国方案。张氏的方案虽在整体上已被历史否定,但他的政治思想中包含着许多合理的内容,值得我们在探索中国现代化道路过程中加以珍视。

Zhang Dongsun was a famous philosopher and social activist in modern China. Around the victory of the war against Japanese aggression, he made a detailed analysis and exploration of the way, mechanism and developing strategies of China's post-war economic construction and advanced a complete set of plans called the middle road characterized by developing national capitalism. Though his plans as a whole were negated by history, his political thinking contains a number of rational cores which are of value in the course of exploring China's modernization. 
