China's Market-Oriented Interest Rate Reform and Its Impact

利率自由化是市场经济的内在要求,随着我国入世后金融市场对外开放的加快,实行利率自由化成为历史的必然。然而,目前我国推行利率自由化的条件并不完全成熟,在这种情况下推行利率市场化改革,必然对各类经济主体造成巨大冲击。于是,如何认识和防范利率市场化所带来的风险,成为经济学界关注的一个重点。

Free interest rates are an internal prerequisite of the market economy. With the accelerating opening of the financial market of China following its entry to the WTO, free interest rates will become a historical requisition. However, the conditions for free interest rates in China are not ripe yet. Under such circumstances, the implementing of free interest rate policy will certainly have great impact on various economic entities. As a matter of course, understanding and preventing the risks caused by free interest rate have become a focus of interest in the economic research community.
