摘要
纳米科技、生命科学/生物技术、信息科学与技术是进入21世纪以来最具影响力的三个重要研究领域.在纳米尺度上,这些领域紧密关联,且物理、化学、力学、材料学、生物、微电子学等学科的交叉合作变得比以往任何时候都更为必要.在国家自然科学基金委员会的发起和支持下, “物理力学与纳米科技的多学科交叉若干问题青年学者研讨会”于2002年10月在北京召开.本文介绍了这次会议的召开背景和动机、31个报告的主要内容和与会代表在学科交叉研究等方面的体会和看法.
Nano-, bio-, and information-science and technology constitute the most important and influential three research fields in the beginning of 21st century. In the nanometer scale, the above three fields are closely related to each other; and the cooperation among scientists of physics, chemistry, mechanics, materials science, biology, and microelectronics has become more necessary than ever before. Initiated and supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Symposium of Young Scientists on Physical Mechanics and Multidisciplinary Problems in Nanotechnology was held in Beijing during October 18-20, 2002. This article reviews the background and motivation of this symposium, gives the main contents of the 31 invited lectures, and summarizes the comments and suggestions of the participants on issues such as the multidisciplinary cooperation.
