21世纪是知识经济时代,这个时代对高等学校的外语教学和科研提出了更高的要求。随着中国加入世界贸易组织,国际交往日益频繁,使外语教学和科研面临着新的挑战。通过外语音像资料与外语教学和科研工作之间的关系,提出了如何实现外语音像资料搜集和管理的科学化,如何开发利用好现有的外语音像资料,使之为外语教学和科研服务。

21st century is the times of knowledge economy.Unquestionably it puts forward an even higher demand on the foreign language teaching and foreign language scientific research of the institutions of higher learning.Since our great country has acceded to WTO,and has frequent international contacts with many other countries,it makes our foreign language teaching and foreign language scientific research of the institutions of higher learning faced with a serious and new challenge.The thesis advances how to gather and manage foreign language audiovideo materials scientifically in order to strengthen their development and use fully and finally make them serve our foreign language teaching and foreign language scientific research of the institutions of higher learning maximally according to the relationship between the foreign language audiovideo materials and foreign language teaching and scientific research.
