彭阜民教授是一位著名的翻译家。他不仅在翻译实践中硕果累累 ,而且在翻译理论上也有独特建树。他的翻译理论与实践不仅对于专业翻译工作者有借鉴作用 ,对高等院校从事翻译课教学的教师来说 。
Professor Peng Fumin was a noted veteran translator expert at Chinese-English and English-Chinese translation. His major English translations include 'The Sword' and 'Selected Works of Guo Moruo-Five Historical Plays'. The article aims to make a tentative study of Peng's translation theories and practice which are instructive to both translators and teachers who teach translation in China's institutions of higher learning.
