摘要
β-胡萝卜素和类胡萝卜素在自然界中广泛存在。其功能多样:是维生素A的前体;是一种抗氧化剂,可清除体内产生的自由基;可提高人体的免疫能力;能预防癌症和减缓癌症的发展;可增加细胞与细胞间缝联接交流等。其与运动能力的关系主要表现在抗氧化及增强免疫功能上。本文综述了类胡萝卜素/β-胡萝卜素的营养功能及其与运动能力的关系。
Beta-carotene and carotenoids widely spread. It is a common knowledge that β-carotene is the precursor of vitamin A,an antioxidant which can quench or scavenge the free radicals. Beside this, it is known that β-carotene and carotenoids have the positive effect on the immune system and gap junctional intercellular communication. It also can prevent cancer, reduce cancer mortality and morbidity. The function of β-carotene and carotenoids on sports performance lies on its anti-oxidation and intensifing immunocompetence. This article reviewed its nutritional functions and the relationship with exercise performance.
