初任民警实用警务英语口语教学是初任民警教育培训的主要内容之一。本课程教学的目的在于通过教与学使学员最终达到包括听、说、读、写及文化能力在内的语言能力的全面提高,并为将来的自主学习打下坚实的基础。要实现这一目标必须全面的了解学生的心理需要,认真定位教师和学生在教与学中应扮演的角色,开展以“学生为中心”,以“学为中心”的口语教学。语言交际教学法和人本主义心理学为研究这个问题提供了理论基础。

Practical Policing Oral English Instruction for the Recruit is one of major curricula in training the recruits. The goal of the course is to, by teaching and learning, improve the trainees' linguistic competence including listening, speaking, reading, writing and culture, and lay a solid foundation for the recruits to study independently. To realize this goal, we must comprehensively understand the psychological demand of the students, properly position the roles of the teachers and the students in teaching and learning, develop the oral instruction 'centering around the students' and 'centering around learning'. Teaching methods of language intercommunication and humanistic psychology provide theoretical foundation for this matter.
