摘要
对一般文献中关于长度收缩假说提出者的不确切提法,通过原始资料的取证,得出了这一假说的提出者只能是菲兹杰诺,而非文献中所讲的是洛仑兹或者是洛仑兹和菲兹杰诺二人.同时对产生这种以讹传讹的原因进行了推理和分析.
This paper points out that only G. F. Fitzgerald, not H. A. Loretz or both H. A. Loretz and G. F. Fitzgerald as being mentioned in many textbooks, is the most possible initiator of the Length Contraction Hypothesis after evidence collecting from source material. Also, the paper studies and analyzes the causes of the mistake.
