The principle of RAPD technique and its application in classification and identification of fungi, including recent research on classification of intraspecies and interspecies, identification of some similar species and isolates were briefly reviewed,and some representative examples were taken for further illustration. It indicated that the RAPD technology was a simple and rapid method that could be widely applied in this field.
