中国传统地理学之浅见

On Chinese Traditional Geography

中国传统地理学具有典型的东西方文化特色,具备五大基本特点。与西方近代地理学相比,存在着巨大差异——它们是在不同的思维模式基础上形成的有着不同研究方法和分类方法的两种不同的科学体系。同时,它们又在很多研究领域,无论是自然地理方面,还是人文地理方面,有着相同或相似之处,有时甚至是“殊途同归”。中国传统地理学的精髓,有待我们进一步去整理开发。

Chinese traditional geography possesses the typical characters of eastern culture with 5 evident characteristics. Comparing it with the western modern geography, this paper pointes out that the remarkable differences exist in these two geographies—— they are two different scientific systems with different researching and classifying methods based on different thoughts. At the same time, there are great similarities in the two geographies on physical and human geographic fields, and sometimes even different ways lead to the same end. To sum up, the Chinese traditional geography has great marrows for our further exploration and arrangement.
