Role of Continuing Education in Know ledge -based Economy from the Perspective of "the First Productive Forces

20世纪下半叶,在现代科技革命显示出巨大作用的历史条件下,邓小平同志创造性地提出了“科学技术是第一生产力”的著名论断,这为我国实施科教兴国战略指明了方向;在实施科教兴国战略中,作为高等教育重要组成部分的继续教育,则是把科技转化为生产力的桥梁、纽带和有效工具。

In the late 20th century,under the hi storical condition that modern scie nce and technology revolution has taken great effect,Mr.Deng Xiaopeng creatively put forward the cele brated theory that'science and technology are first productive forces,which pointed out the direction for enforcing the strategy of invigorating China through science and education.In the process of putting this strategy into force,continuing educatio n,being an important part of higher education,is the bridge,link and effec tive tool of changing science and technology into productive forces.
