通过介绍巴砖村传统民居保护与改造的成功经验,指出传统民居需要而且完全可能适当改造,以适应时代的发展;保护和改造传统民居必须有效地协调各有关方面以形成合力;要充分尊重和保护农民的权利,依靠他们的力量并正确地引导他们做好保护与改造工作。

Through the experience in the work for Bazhuan Village, the paper points out that old vernacular houses need, and are possible, to bereconstructed to meet present requirements, and with effort from all other related units, to respect and protect farmers' rights and interests, andto rely on them and guide them correctly. Conservation of traditional houses can effectively be accomplished.
