In this book, emotional factors are put on the priority in the cause, prevention, treatment and prognosis of deficiency syndromes. Besides the principle of 'clearing the metal and protecting the lung' is also advanced in this book. This paper summarizes and puts forward three therapeutic principles in treating deficiency syndromes, i.e., clearing the metal and protecting the lung, building up the earth and regulating the middle energizer, and harmonizing the metal and the water.
