Hybrid Model Test Technique for Deep Sea PlatformZ

水池模型试验被公认为研究海洋平台性能最可信赖的办法。但深海平台的模型试验需要很大的水池 ,目前世界上还没有一个水池用常规的缩尺比能够进行该项试验。国际船模试验池会议对此极为关注 ,混合模型试验技术有可能是解决深海平台模型试验最有效的途径。

Model test in ocean engineering basin is recognized as the most reliable method of investigating the behavior of platforms and moored offshore vessels.However,model tests for deep sea platforms require very large model basins and no existing model basin in the world can carry out such tests with traditional scale ratios.This paper introduces the problems very much concerned by ITTC. It seems that the hybrid model technique may be the most effective way for model tests of deep sea platforms.The preliminary plan for studying the hybrid model test technique in the State Key Laboratory of Ocean Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University is also briefly introduced.
