Assessment of China's Industrial Plantations and Wood Industry

本文介绍了我国森林资源状况及木材供需矛盾。建立速生丰产用材林基地是缓解我国木材供需矛盾的根本措施,国家对人工林基地建设制订了一系列优惠政策和管理办法,以鼓励城市资本、个人及农民参与人工林建设。

This paper reviewed the status of China's forest resources, wood supply, and demand. The study concluded that the way to solve the wood material shortage problem is to establish industrial plantations of fastgrowing tree species. It was further suggested that in order to encourage individuals or peasants to plant trees, a series of favorable government policies and administrative measures should be implemented.
