湖北荆州市郢城遗址考古调查、勘探与试掘报告

The Archaeological Survey,Detection and Trial Excavation of the Ying City Site in Jingzhou City,Hubei

郢城遗址位于荆州市纪南生态文化旅游区郢城村。2016~2017年,荆州博物馆对遗址开展考古调查、勘探工作,对城内部分沟渠断面进行清理,初步了解郢城遗址周边同时期遗址与墓地的分布情况,基本探明郢城遗址城垣的堆积情况及相关数据,以及郢城城垣的南北水门、陆路城门的分布情况,并且确定在西城垣未发现城门。城垣除西南角遭破坏外,东南角、东北角、西北角均存在高于周边城垣的角楼台基,除北护城河被破坏外,东、南、西护城河均测得较为准确的原始数据,发现城内水系三条,一条为贯通南北的主干水系,一条为城内环壕,一条为连接环壕的小型水系。发现城内建筑台基12处,根据断面和探沟的清理发掘,了解郢城遗址最早的文化层为战国时期,主体文化层为汉代。郢城遗址官署区位于城内中部偏西位置,始建于战国晚期晚段,使用年代为秦至两汉时期,东汉后逐渐废弃。结合出土文献推断,郢城即汉代的江陵。

The Ying City Site is located at the Yingcheng Village in the Jinan Ecological Cultural Tourism Zone of Jingzhou City.In 2017,Jingzhou Museum conducted archaeological survey and detection to this site,observed some stratigraphical sections on the walls of ditches and canals in this city site and obtained preliminary information about the distributions of the remains and burials of the same period nearby the Ying City Site,the accumulation of the city walls of the Ying City Site and relevant data,and the distribution of the north and south water gates and land gates of the Ying City Site and con?rmed that there was no city gate through the west wall.Except for the southwest corner of the city,which had been destroyed,foundations of corner towers were found at the southeast,northeast and northwest corners of the Ying City Site;except for that of the north side,the accurate original data about the moat on the east,south and west sides of the city site were all retrieved.Within the city site,three water systems were detected:one was the stem canal system going through the entire city from north to south,one was the inner moat,and the third was the smallscale water system linking to the inner moat.12 architectural foundations were found within the city site.According to the excavation results and the recovered sections,it is understood that the earliest cultural layers of the Ying City Site was that of the Warring-States Period and the main body of the cultural layers was that of the Han Dynasty.The governmental of?ce site was located in the center slightly to the west of the city site,which was built in the late stage of the late Warring-States Period,mainly used in the Qin and Han Dynasties and gradually abandoned after the Eastern Han Dynasty.Referring to the unearthed textual materials,the Ying City Site is estimated to be the Jiangling District of the Han Dynasty.
