A new process for manufacturing thermally polymerized aromatic petroleum resins using crack C 9 fraction which are rich of DCPD has been developed.After experimental research on the pre-separation,continuous thermally polymerization and film evaporation,high quality petroleum resins was obtained.The resins product has a softening point of about 90～120?℃ and the Gardner color under 9 #.
