Research on the MAC Protocol of Full-duplex Visible light Communication

摘要 本文针对可见光通信系统物理层的特点,引入了无线全双工的思想,并设计了基于全双工通信网络的MAC层协议。为了更好地利用全双工操作带来的性能提升,本文着重研究如何提高全双工操作的概率。与传统室内可见光通信网络不同的是,本文将网络中AP也加入到信道的竞争中,即赋予其自主竞争信道的权限。另外,根据AP与终端节点业务量大小的差异,本文还提出一种改进的自适应MAC协议,以提高全双工操作的概率,进一步提高网络的性能。 Based on the features of visible light communication (VLC),we introduce the concept of wireless full-duplex into VLC and propose a full duplex protocol. We intended to increase the possibility of full-duplex operation in order to achieve better network performance. Different from traditional indoor VLC networks, we include AP to contend for the channel access among the clients, which increase the possibility for AP to access the channel. Moreover, to make our MAC protocol more adaptive, we propose a MAC protocol with adaptive contention window,which based on the traffic load at AP, for the purpose of increasing the possibility of full-duplex operation to achieve better downlink throughput.
